WES is an organization which evaluates academic degrees which means that the credentials obtained must have been earned on the basis of completing coursework or research. Additional to the degrees such as bachelor’s masters and doctoral degrees, WES also evaluates certificates, several diplomas and examination based programs from various countries.

If you are not sure whether WES will evaluate your credential or not, you can still send your application and in case if Wes does not evaluate it, you will receive an error message.

WES uses regional accreditation bodies when evaluating the credentials for higher education. It uses this to determine institutional recognition status.

In order to decide, whether or not WES can evaluate a credential, specialists must first determine that the program is comparable so that an accurate evaluation can be performed.

The specialists also evaluates if the program is academic or career oriented or not. WES does not evaluate short term training, career development programs or other certificates of this nature as they constitute occupational rather than academic study.

If the specialists of WES cannot work with a provided qualification, they will update your account as per the terms and conditions. In cases when they are unable to complete your evaluation, they will contact you regarding refund options.
